50 Iterations: The Little Pink Parrot

Taking Paul Rand’s existing print poster, I redesigned it more than 50 times. The next step was to present the iterations in a form that relates to its content. Knowing about Paul Rand’s illustrated books for children, I decided to write a narrative and connect it to my iterations.
The Little Pink Parrot is a children’s story book about a parrot that goes on a wild adventure to find the box of fortune. This is a book about self-esteem, the effects of teasing and acceptance. Bullying being common around school kids, my story’s goal was to encourage children to appreciate their uniqueness and have self-acceptance.
